Description

The S. T. O'Dell Ledger, held by the Archives of Appalachia at East Tennessee State University, consists of a business ledger that documents the services performed from April 1917 to June 1919 by Seth T. O'Dell for companies and private individuals, including making wagon axles, wagon tires, star drills, and chisels, painting automobiles, repairing locks, wagons, buggies, and automobile bodies, filing saws, grinding axes, and sharpening picks. Each entry in the ledger includes the date, the name of the customer, the services performed, and the charge for each service.

The collection also includes one folder of loose documents which were removed from the ledger for preservation purposes.

The current digital collection contains PDF file surrogates created in 2023 of the complete content of the collection.
