Description

The World War II in East Tennessee Collection, held by the Archives of Appalachia at East Tennessee State University, consists of photographic prints and documents related to the work of the Holston Ordnance Works, Kingsport, Tennessee during World War II (1941-1945).  The materials were collected by Colin Baxter and Dale Schmitt as part of the "World War II in East Tennessee" grant project funded by the Tennessee Committee for the Humanities in 1985.

The current digital collection contains JPEG and PDF file surrogates created in 2025 of the complete content of the collection.
