Description

The Grover C. Cox Letters, held by the Archives of Appalachia at East Tennessee State University, consists of letters written to Grover Cox of Kingsport, Tennessee, primarily while he was stationed at Camp Blanding, Florida during World War II. The collection contains over two hundred handwritten letters written by his mother, Georgia Cox; his brother, Glenn Cox; other family members; and friends from home and the military. Topics include his family’s health and worklife along with news about friends and neighbors in Kingsport.

The current digital collection contains PDF file surrogates created in 2025 of the complete content of the collection.
