Description

The Bailey Family Photographs, held by the Archives of Appalachia at East Tennessee State University, consists of 40 scans of images depicting the Bailey family and other residents of Lost Cove, North Carolina in the years immediately before and after the town was abandoned. The images are primarily black-and-white photographs.

The Bailey Family Photographs (forty photographs) were digitized by the donor in 2011, with the donor retaining the original physical materials.

Lost Cove schoolchildren at recess
Sinclair Conley, the 75 year old school teacher, is on the front steps. The school building was also used for church services.
