Description

The Nat T. Winston Papers, held by the Archives of Appalachia
at East Tennessee State University, consist of documents from, by, and about the Taylor and Winston families of East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. The papers include correspondence, land deeds, diplomas, receipts, and other memorabilia. There are two documents concerning enslaved people: A collateral bond and an agreement between Winston family members pertaining to property.

The current digital collection includes surrogates of all of the collection's 141 items and 39 transcriptions.
