Description
The Vardy, Tennessee Lantern Slides, held by the Archives of Appalachia at East Tennessee State University, consists of 72 hand-tinted glass plate positives accompanied by 5x7 color prints of each slide. The photographs were taken in the 1920s and 1930s by the Reverend Chester Leonard. They depict scenes from the Vardy Community in Hancock County, Tennessee.
