Appalachian Foodway Series - Apple Butter
Foodways is an important cultural, social, and economic connection of people to their heritage, geographic location, and social structures. Foodways delves into the "why" behind what we eat, exploring the historical and cultural significance of food as it relates to people and place.
This exhibit draws upon historical and contemporary films, oral histories, and photographs to highlight the long-standing tradition of making apple butter.
