Spontaneous Stringband
In 1965, John Cohen of the New Lost City Ramblers put together an LP called “Stringband Project” that featured groups of musicians from across the country who played together informally. Richard was recorded as part of the Spontaneous String Band, an ad hoc New York City band with Allan Block and Peter Siegel. Other notable musicians included on the LP were David Grisman, Peter Rowan, Richard Greene, Dave Lindley and others.
