Joe Val: Joe Val and the New England Bluegrass Boys

Another group that enjoyed a special relationship with the Delaware Valley Bluegrass Festival was Joe Val and the New England Bluegrass Boys, having appeared nine times prior to Joe’s death from Lymphoma in 1985. These performances include “(Is This) My Destiny” (1976), the Joe Val classic “Sparkling Brown Eyes” (1978), “All The Good Times Are Past And Gone” (1981) with guest Danny Paisley on lead vocals, and from Joe’s final performance at the festival, “Going Home” (1984).
