The Caldwell Family Papers, held by the Archives of Appalachia at East Tennessee State University, consists of photocopies made in 1970 of deeds and wills of the Caldwell family in Hawkins County, Tennessee and a transcript of the 1871 bankruptcy trial of James Caldwell. The photocopied documents span from 1782 through 1892. The current digital file comprises surrogates of the complete content of the collection.
